This is a repeat Melbourne performance of the Utzon Room recital program on December 3.
Join Timothy Young, Laurence Matheson and pianists from the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) as they perform in a program that includes Carl Vine’s Sonata for Four Hands.
This work for Four Hands is played in five sections, without a break. Carl Vine says “using those two extra hands which, by playing on the same instrument, have a distinct advantage over their 'duo' brethren”. It is 'pure' music with no specific accompanying narrative or poetic allusion.
