Laurence's third fellowship concert presents a journey through three of the major European composers during the classical and romantic periods. The program begins with Brahms' introverted and moving second Cello Sonata featuring ANAM alumni Jack Bailey, who now resides in the UK. Next is Beethoven's youthful and playful Trio Op.11 No.4 which, written very early on in his life, straddles the area between the romantic and classical eras. The concluding work is Mozart's energetic Concerto for Two Pianos, with ANAM faculty Peter de Jager and the ANAM Orchestra directed from the keyboard by Laurence Matheson.
